Faith in the 828: Higher Education and Holistic Lives

Faith in the 828 returns for a third year! This year, our annual five-week Lenten speaker series will feature the top leader of each major four-year institution of higher education in the Asheville area. This unique series will be a rare opportunity to hear from each of the leaders of our colleges or universities about their role in our community and in the spiritual lives of their students.

Every year, this series, held Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m., has brought together leaders from our community for conversation in order to foster deeper, more engaged, and healthier communities in Western North Carolina. This Lent, we are hosting conversations around the importance of community involvement and the role of our many higher education institutions in fostering this ethic. With each of the visionary leaders of our area colleges and universities, we will be exploring the place of higher education in fostering healthy communities beyond the campus and exploring the intersection of the diverse spiritual lives of students, the broader community, and the institution itself.

Lunch cost is $6.00 per person.
