Wild & Wooly: Fabulous Felt Projects

Meet the sheep and create with their wool at Circle M Market Farm, tutored by shepherdess and fiber artist Kriss Marion. At this workshop, you'll learn a variety of methods to felt wool and have the opportunity to experiment with them in your own way. Suitable for all experience levels and ages 5 and up. Great fun for groups or families traveling the Soil Sisters Tour together, as felting is a fun and lighthearted experiment in modeling with wool and takes more time than concentration. Come prepared to get messy, wooly and inspired! Children 8 and under are welcomed for free with a ticketed adult.  Children, ages 8 and over, are welcome with a ticketed adult and their own ticket (for the ages 8 or older child). A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees. About Kriss Marion: Kriss Marion is a certified organic vegetable farmer, shepherdess, innkeeper, teacher, chef and all-around farm-to-fork enthusiast. She owns and runs Circle M Market Farm, a field-to-table bed and breakfast, which is located in Lafayette County just 45 minutes southwest of Madison. The farm is home to hogs, steers, chickens, goats, ducks, cats, dogs and Jacob and Merino sheep which provide wool for sale and fiber art classes. Kriss is a transplant to country life, having moved from Chicago over ten years ago. In her adopted village of Blanchardville, population 825, that makes her brand new in town. She says her neighbors haven't always understood what she was up to on her little funny farm, and watched with amusement at first, but gave advice so generously that the transition from city life to farming has been all joy. CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUNDS. SOIL SISTERS has a no refund policy. You can, however, transfer your ticket to another person, provided that person is in possession of the ticket at the time of the workshop.
