      Auditions for Amadeus

      Amadeus, written by Peter Shaffer will be staged at Rome Community Theater, under the direction of Eric Almleaf and assisted by Denise Borek Morganti. Amadeus is the winner of the prestigious Tony Ward and has an impressive eight Academy Awards, including Best Film and Best Screenwriter.

      Nothing to prepare, however women will be asked to sing “Ave Maria”.

      The action takes place in Vienna in November 1823 and in recall, the decade 1781-1791. The composer Antonio Salieri must come to terms with the greater genius of the bratty but God-gifted younger composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — but not before setting out to destroy him. Performance dates April 16 - 18 at 7:30 and April 19 at 2:30.
