As 2020 finally comes to a close, it’s time to look ahead to the new year and the new employment laws that come with it. In response to the economic upheaval created by the pandemic, there have been significant changes in both federal and state law including changes to family leave, extensions of tax credits and deadlines, and updates to OSHA regulations.
Additionally, there have been notable changes in employment law that are unrelated to the pandemic like the controversial AB 5, limiting employers’ ability to classify workers as “independent contractors”. It is critical for employees and employers alike to be aware of these changes.
Join us December 8 as leading attorneys Kathy Eppright and Dave Juhnke explain many of these new and modified laws and share the changes you need to make before the January 1 deadline.
